Transcending the boundaries of technology and imagination in series of surreal ideas, Baleianiko has been a fan of downtempo music since the late 90s.

Combining grand piano and electronic keyboard composition with an upright bass chords, trip-hop beats and acoustic percussions, his specific style is a tribute to all the artists and performances that inspired him in the first place living in the small beach city on the east coast of Bulgaria. His tracks are almost always caught between the feelings of nostalgia and those urging the exploration of endless ideas and possibilities going forward.

Chilled Beets vol.2 is a continuation of the downtempo electronic exploration that started in the first album. This time Baleianiko returns with much more playful, yet more Trip Hop oriented album, packed to the brim with acoustic bass chords, detuned piano compositions, modular synthesiser leads, acoustic drum kits and percussions. The voice samples are underlining the urge to explore new horizons and the philosiphical side of life.

Featuring everything from downbeat detuned piano tracks, through trip hop, gentle piano plays, odd beats and reverse samples, to saxophonic disco throwback this album is the logical sequel of this project and offers a complete listening experience from start to finish.
